No more ring

I honestly do not lose things but for some reason I lose the most important, sentimental jewelry. This time it was my engagement ring. I only had it for nine days. NINE. The more pathetic part... I was wearing it and did not notice that it fell off until hours later. I'd slap me too.

When Chris bought the ring, he did not know my ring size. Since he is a guy, his logic was to match the size of my ring finger to his pinky finger. It was huge. I did not wear it on my ring finger because I did not want to lose it. I could have put the ring on my necklace that says "true love" and "c&j" that he bought me for my birthday, but I was stubborn. (I'm shaking my head at myself right now.) I waited 25 years to have someone say they wanted to spend the rest of their life with me! Darn right I was going to wear it on my hand, so I put it on my middle finger but when it was cold outside it became too big also.

After we tore the house and car apart, I narrowed it down to the grocery store and our front yard. If I lost it at the store, no one turned it in. I would not blame someone if they kept it because it was gorgeous, duh. I truly think it is in the front yard. Unfortunately, our front yard is covered in leaves because we practically live in the woods. I search for it every time I take the dogs outside but obviously no luck.

Chris is not upset by any means which makes me love him even more. He has joked about me losing it, and I told him it will always be too soon to joke about that. I will not wear the next ring unless it is $20 or less.
